The 2nd Thursday of each month come to Market Street Commons in historic downtown Mt Carroll for Five Minutes of Fame on Market & Main – Open Mic Night featuring Music, Poetry and Storytelling. Come out to perform, come out to listen or just come out! While there take time to enjoy the coffee, lattes, gourmet cookies, sandwiches & more!

The Stewards of the Upper Mississippi River Refuge sponsor free Monthly Bird Walks/Drives the 2nd Saturday of each month throughout the year. Participants will meet at Ingersoll Wetlands Learning Center located at 7071 Riverview Rd, Thomson, unless notified otherwise. Transportation for the event is provided. The areas we visit will depend upon current weather conditions and water levels of the Mississippi River and surrounding small waterways. Bring your binoculars and your camera. Binoculars and field guides will be available for loan if you do not have them. When weather permits we will be incorporating our new eight passenger golf cart, available for those with mobility challenges, into some of the bird walks on the refuge.

Ladies, grab your girlfriends and come enjoy your favorite wines at Silver Moon Winery during our first special event of the year! It's a day filled with wine, bling, bangles, bags, makeup, designer jeans, art, and so much more! We will be offering a "CHICK-A-MOON-MOON" wine tasting and small food pairing, then "Sip 'n Shop" our in-house vendors offering great girly stuff! Lots of fun, and surprises galore!

The Savanna Historical Society is pleased to announce "The Smithsonian" is coming to Savanna, Illinois. Savanna is one of only 6 communities, chosen to host this exhibition. This was made possible, through a grant, from the Illinois Humanities Council, in order to bring Smithsonian quality exhibitions, into small and medium sized communities in Illinois. Other communities in Illinois, that were chosen to receive the exhibition, were Carbondale, Marshall, Ottawa, Waterloo, and Beardstown.

Come, let Silver Moon infuse a little Leprechaun Spirit into your St. Patrick's Day Celebration! Upon arrival, be-pinned with a be-ribboned St. Patty's flower, so you too will be "Wearing O' the Green! We will be offering an "Emerald Moon" wine tasting Special. Irish Stew is on the menu until the pot is empty!

We invite you to stop by our Tasting Room and help us celebrate our Spring Reawakening with wine tastings and special small plates to welcome the New Moon! Our regular seasonal hours are Saturdays and Sundays April 14 through Dec 16.
