The River Bend Antique Tractor Pullers Association will hold an antique tractor pull at noon June 30 at Eastland Motor Sports, 110 E. Illinois Route 64, Lanark. Guests should bring blankets or chairs for seating. Free. Go to our website for information.

Carroll County Stitches & Blooms Garden Walk

The Carroll County Garden Walk will be held Sat June 29th from 10am – 5pm and Sun June 30th from 10am – 2pm at Lake Carroll located on Payne Rd 5 miles north of Lanark on Rt 73 and 6 miles south of Pearl City. The theme this year is Stitches & Blooms and every stop will feature quilt & garden displays. Several of the gardens are on lake front properties and offer beautiful views of the lake as well as unique gardens. Some offer ponds and others are in a wooded atmosphere and feature varieties of hostas, lilies, ferns and wild flowers. Sunny country gardens take on the flavor of prairie plants and many of the gardeners practice organic gardening. Tickets are $10.00 each and are available for advanced purchase at Twice Told Tales located at 504 W IL Rt 64 in Lanark. On the days of the event, tickets and maps will be available at the Gate House entrance to Lake Carroll and at the Lake Carroll Golf Course.
