Hickory Hideaway brings Ol' Man Winter and Mother Nature together to celebrate the local beauty and promote relaxation on our 2011 Winter Getaway Weekend. Whether time alone is what you need or a chance to catch up with those you love, you will be sure to relax snuggled in your own cabin or brave the outdoors and enjoy our beautiful night skies cuddled beside a crackling campfire.

For the adventuresome, if you are so equipped, we recommend skiing, sledding and snowmobiling.  There's also superb hiking and eagle-watching at our beautiful local state parks.

             Silver Moon Winery in their cozy Tasting Room.  The tasting, featuring 6 wines paired with “small bites” of specially selected food, is a modest $10 per person. What a delicious way to relax and spend time with friends and loved ones!

On this weekend, there are also a number of events taking place close by in Dixon, Sterling, Rochelle and Tampico celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of President Ronald Reagan who grew up in the area and we’ll have a schedule of events to attend.
