Visitors can walk or bike the Great River Trail that traverses through the prairie and along Spring Lake. There are many opportunities for photographers to get that special picture of a bald eagle, sandhill crane, trumpeter swan, or the prickly pear cactus. No matter what your interest is, there is something for you to see and do.

The Great River Trail begins in Savanna and travels south through many small river towns along the Mississippi River. There are many opportunities for antiques, dining, and viewing boats and barges on the Mississippi River. The path from Savanna to the Ingersoll Wetlands Learning Center is paved and makes a great path for the handicapped with wheelchairs or powered scooters.
